The resort’s majestic cedar and stone, 150-seat outdoor Amphitheater and Spirit of the Rainforest Village opened in 2006.
The amphitheater was artistically created from roots, ancient timbers and boulders which were reclaimed from Ruby Lake. These cover a 1200 square foot stage against a backdrop of breathtaking mountains and forest.
Giorgio Cogrossi was the force behind the creation of the resort’s performing arts amphitheater. Inspired by his travels to Costa Rica, Bali and Europe, his quest was to create a synergy between spirituality, education, arts and culture.
It is a ‘natural cathedral’, amplified by the resort’s oldest and largest fir tree of 300 years, growing right through the middle of the Amphitheater.
The energy is incredible and the branches of our guardian span the roof to form a natural yin-yang symbol.

An opportunity to celebrate Arts, Music and Culture, the Bonfire Festival 2006 was an amazing success which was enjoyed by several thousand people.
His vision was to bring aspiring artists and performers before an audience on this unique and spectacular stage, and to create a calendar of events that integrated all expressions of art, culture, music, healing, poetry, writing, photography and health.
Those willing to share their gift and accomplishments can reach audiences who appreciate culture whilst being surrounded by the resonant voices of nature.

There were twelve bands performing over the three days, an alcoholic beverages tent, a food tent serving 24 hours a day and many other party vendors.
Much fun was had by all ages!

The Amphitheater is fully wired with state-of-the-art lighting and sound equipment.
Overlooking the Bird Sanctuary, the Spirit of the Rainforest Village includes the amphitheater, a Marquee Tent that seats 130 guests for meals, 10 romantic Safari Tents with handcrafted furniture, fireplaces and cedar plank bases, and 2 Family Tents with original wood bunk beds made by our onsite artists. The Rainforest Spa is also located next to the Village.
The natural setting in the Rainforest Village lends a secluded and magical ambience to any event. Guests can enjoy a show, meal and evening entertainment all in one very unique majestic natural environment.
